Union Education Minister Honours Graduates at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University's 9th Convocation

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Convocation 2023: Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan addressed the 9th convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), in Katra. He tweeted, "Hearty best wishes for a bright future to all the students who received degrees in the 9th convocation ceremony of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University today." 

He also said as our students step into society, he firmly believes they'll carry the rich heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, propelling themselves toward success. The entirety of India holds high expectations for the students of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.

The 9th convocation of SMVDU included Board members, Vice-Chancellors from diverse universities, Heads of Departments in various educational institutions, senior officials from Civil and Police administration, as well as students and faculty members of SMVDU.

The Union Education Minister in his address states, “Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has emphasized on giving priority to competency over degree. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is a research and design-centric university. I have full confidence that the students of the prestigious institution will lead this technology-based era, and become a major contributor to the progress of the society, nation and the world in the times to come.” 

The Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj was also invited. In his address, he asked the students to be patient, pursue their dreams with passion and capitalize on the opportunity to learn new skills. He also added, the contemporary areas today offer many opportunities and graduating students should evaluate their skills to execute the goals.
