IAF has released the final merit list for AFCAT 2 2021 on June 24. The allotment has been done taking into consideration the vacancies in each branch, eligibility, order of merit, medical fitness and choices given by candidates.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) released AFCAT 2 2021 final merit list on June 24. The list of selected candidates will join Air Force Academy (AFA) for training for various courses commencing from July 11, 2022. The allotment has been done taking into consideration the vacancies in each branch, eligibility, order of merit, medical fitness and choices given by candidates. The branch-wise list of selected candidates has been made available in PDF form.

The selection is subject to medical fitness as given by the competent Armed Forces Medical Authorities and on submission of requisite documents as proof of having achieved the minimum educational qualifications for the course, besides other qualifications.

Joining Call Letters

The call letters will be dispatched by speed post to the address/scanned copy through mail to e-mail ID available on record. Date and time of reporting at AFA is given in call letters. Candidates who are in possession of signed joining instructions are to report at reception cell located on platform no.10 of Secunderabad railway station/airport between 9 am to 6 pm between July 9 and 10. Candidates are also required to carry negative RT PCR report for test conducted within 72 hours prior to reporting.

About AFCAT

AFCAT is conducted by the IAF to select Class-I Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). The exam is held twice a year, in February and August/September, respectively. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the online exam and Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview. Candidates opting for Ground Duty (Technical) branches are required to appear in both AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
