IGNOU: Admissions open for Master of Science, MA in Environmental studies

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is offering Master of Science (Environmental Science)(MSCENV), and MA (Environmental Studies). 

The objectives of the Master of Science course is to equip the learners with knowledge and understanding of the physical, chemical and biological processes of the environment, to expose the learners to theoretical principles involved in air, water and soil pollution and monitoring systems, to emphasize the principles and practices involved in sustainable natural resources management and environmental management, and to impart knowledge and understanding in impact assessment, environmental audit and laws.

The minimum duration of the course is 2 years and the maximum duration is 4 years. The eligibility requirement is a bachelor's degree in any discipline of Science/Engineering/Agricultural Sciences/Forestry/Veterinary Science from a recognized university. The programme fee is INR 15000.

For MA (Environmental Studies), the educational qualification required is graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. There is a total of 80 credits. The duration to complete is between 2 years and 4 years. Also, there is one Post Graduate Certificate course in Climate Change (PGCCC). The course is of 6 months duration and can be completed in 2 years. The programme fee is INR 3800.

IGNOU released the Online Counselling Schedule for the Bachelor of Arts (Gender Studies) (BAGS) – January 2023 session. The counselling will be held between May 26 to June 1, 2023.

The online session must be joined 10 minutes before the commencement of the session, the participants should carry IGNOU I-Card, and keep the audio mute during the session.
