IIIT-Hyderabad invites applications for iHub-Data Mobility Fellowships

IIIT Hyderabad iHub-Data Fellowship

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad’s iHub-Data has launched research fellowships for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) engineering students. The initiative has been taken to encourage and support research initiatives related to transport and mobility in India.

According to the institute, the fellowship offered by IIIT-Hyderabad is specifically targeted to enroll final year undergraduate and MS/PhD engineering students with an aim to support projects in the broad area of transport and mobility. The project will cover topics such as pedestrian, vehicle mobility, road infrastructure monitoring, road safety.

The projects can involve hardware or software domains or their combination, the IIIT-Hyderabad said on May 10. Research fellows enrolled under this fellowship programme would stand a chance to publish their research work in top-tier conferences and publications as well as create hardware/software demo prototypes. Applicants must be aware that the last date to submit the fellowship proposal at IIIT Hyderabad is May 20.

Under this fellowship, the students would be provided support for computing (GPU, CPU processing) and support for presenting their research outcomes such as papers or demos at national and international conferences, it said. Students interested in the IIIT-Hyderabad iHub-Data fellowship programme must note that they can apply for fellowships either individually or as a team, with the faculty advisor at their institution included as part of the team.
