IIIT Kottayam PhD Admissions 2022 begin; Apply by June 15

No application will be accepted without an application fee of INR 1000/- (INR 500/- for SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates). The last date to submit applications is June 15, 2022. 

IIIT Kottayam PhD Admissions 2022: The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam has commenced admission applications for its PhD Programme. The programme is slated to commence in August 1, 2022. Interested candidates may submit online applications at https://phdr.iiitkottayam.ac.in/. The last date to submit applications is June 15, 2022. No application will be accepted without an application fee of INR 1000/- (INR 500/- for SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates). The application fee is required to be paid through State Bank Collect.

IIIT Kottayam offers PhD Programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mathematics under (i) Scholarship Holders (Full-Time) (ii) Sponsored (Full-Time) (iii) Self-Financed (Full-Time) and (iv) External Registrants Categories. IIIT Kottayam PhD Admissions Eligibility Criteria

For Computer Science and Engineering: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering/Information Technology/ Computer Applications/ ECE or equivalent area with minimum CGPA of either 6.5 in a 10-point scale or 60% in appropriate branches or (ii) Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering from any IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s / Other Institutions of National Importance with a minimum CGPA of either 7.5 in a 10-point scale or 70%.

For Electronics and Communication Engineering: Candidate must have a Master’s degree in ECE/ EEE or equivalent area with minimum CGPA of either 6.5 in a 10-point scale or 60% in appropriate branches or (ii) Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electrical Engineering from any IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s / Other Institutions of National Importance with a minimum CGPA of either 7.5 in a 10- point scale or 70%.

Students securing admission via Bachelor’s Degree will be awarded both MS and PhD degree on completion of PhD Programme without any exit option during the programme.

Computational Mathematics: Candidate must have 2 years MSc / Integrated MSc in Mathematics/ Mathematics and Computing/ Applied Mathematics/Statistics or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination.

IIIT Kottayam PhD Admissions 2022 Selection Process

Selection of the candidates for PhD programme at IIIT Kottayam will be based on their performance in the written test and /or interview to be held from July 1 to July 4, 2022.
