IIT Bombay’s SJMSOM inaugurates facility for its joint Executive MBA with Washington University
The joint executive MBA program will be offered by SJMSOM, IIT Bombay and the Olin Business School at Washington University in St Louis.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay alumnus Dr Shailesh Mehta inaugurated the Executive Education Complex on the fourth floor of the Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, on November 15, 2021. Established in 1995 as IIT Bombay’s management school and renamed in 2000 after Dr Shailesh J Mehta, a distinguished alumnus of IIT Bombay, to honour his generous contribution to the school, SJMSOM offers a well-designed, effective and relevant set of programs in management and draws on the synergies that exist within the IIT Bombay ecosystem.
In order to jointly conduct the Executive MBA program offered by SJMSOM, IIT Bombay and the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, the Executive Education Complex has been equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure that includes climate-controlled classrooms, breakout rooms, lounges, a faculty room, a conference room, and multi-media facilities that augment the learning experience of students.
The official press note reads, addressing the gathering at the inauguration of the Executive Education Complex at SJMSOM, Mr. Shailesh Mehta said, “The Shailesh J Mehta School of Management has strived to achieve global reputation through its highly qualified faculty, high-calibre students and facilities offered. Our vision is to become a premier management school in Asia by ensuring that the SJMSOM is a world-class facility at the IIT Bombay campus and to nurture the strong talent pool of students here to become future leaders. I am grateful that we are doing our bit to bridge the gap of India’s growing need for qualified leaders as it becomes a major global economy”.
On this occasion, Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, IIT Bombay said, “IIT Bombay is committed to creating an environment that can nurture innovation, creativity and excellence amongst students and the Executive Education Complex at SJMSOM is a definitive step in this direction. With its world-class amenities and faculty, I am confident that this complex will promote experiential learning in a significant way.
