IIT Madras invites applications for BSc in programming & data science; scholarship for disadvantaged
The programme is offered three times a year and the last date to apply for the January 2022 term is December 21, 2021.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has collaborated with Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India Private Limited (RNTBCI) to provide 100 scholarships for students pursuing online BSc degree in programming and data science.
As many as 100 students belonging to economically disadvantaged backgrounds can benefit from the scheme. The programme is offered three times a year and last date to apply for the January 2022 term is December 21, 2021.
Andrew Thangaraj, coordinator, IIT Madras BSc programme, said, “We have students from various backgrounds who are in need of financial assistance. The scholarships from RNTBCI will help them to achieve goals, which would have been impossible otherwise. We are delighted to partner with RNTBCI to support the students studying BSc in programming and data science.”

Planned in 2019 and scheduled for launch in March 2020, the online BSc Programming and Data Science course was finally introduced in June 2020 due to the pandemic-induced lockdown.
