In a letter written to the Directorate of Education, the trust talked about the severe effects of the ongoing pandemic situation on the private schools. It also stated the regular delays “in the reimbursement of EWS category students to all the private schools running on private land for a long time.”
Highlighting the repercussions of these delays, the trust said, “We would like to draw your kind attention towards regular delay in the reimbursement of EWS category students to all the private schools running on private land for the long time. Due to this delay and COVID-19, all these private schools are facing a lot of financial crunch & unable to manage their day to day expenses. Almost now most of them are on the verge of closure. We would like to draw your kind attentions towards the fact still 49 % students of Delhi are getting education in these private schools.”
It further stated that their “claim for EWS reimbursement has not been submitted as the module's last step that submission to zone is still not operational. It will take another couple of months for releasing the reimbursement.”

It also asked the directorate of education to adjust the amount from the final amount of the schools reimbursement claim.
