India in talks with other countries for medical education of Ukraine returned students

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has said that India is in touch with a few countries for the completion of medical courses of Indian students who returned from Ukraine.

Replying on the Ukraine crisis in Lok Sabha, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has said that India is in touch with other countries to resolve the issue of completion of medical courses of Indian students who returned from Ukraine due to war.

He apprised the Parliament that Hungary has offered to support in this and the ministry is in talks with other countries including Romania, Poland, Czech Republic and Kazakhstan, as reported by City Today.

Ukraine's government has also agreed to give relaxation for 3rd year and final year students, the final year students will be given their degrees on the basis of the academic assessment, he added.

PM Modi appreciates healthy discussion in Parliament on Ukraine crisis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated the healthy discussion in Parliament over the last few days on the Ukraine issue and Operation Ganga. He expressed his gratitude to all Members of Parliament who enriched the discussion with their views. He also said that it is our collective duty to take care of the safety and well-being of our fellow citizens in adverse situations.

His tweet reads, "Over the last few days Parliament has witnessed a healthy discussion on the situation in Ukraine and India’s efforts to bring back our citizens through Operation Ganga. I am grateful to all MP colleagues who enriched this discussion with their views."
