IP University Admissions 2022: GGSIPU begins counselling process for BTech, BArch courses
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced that it has begun the online counselling process for two undergraduate programmes ; i.e. BTech and BArch. All the candidates who had applied for both courses can apply for the online counselling until August 5, the University said in a statement.
Candidates must note that they will have to deposit INR 1,000 to participate in the counselling until August 5. "Those applicants who could not deposit the application fee of Rs 1,200 earlier can also deposit it along with the counselling participation fee till August 5, 2022," the varsity said in a statement. Earlier this month, the university had begun the online counselling process for 35 academic courses.
GGSIPU to set up three new schools
GGSIPU has earlier announced that it will build three new schools, namely the School of Liberal Arts, School of Film Making and School of Fire and Industrial Safety. These new schools and centers of excellence will be created in view of the rising demands for trained professionals in these areas, the varsity said in a statement.
The decision has been taken by the varsity during the 77th Board of Management (BoM) meeting. The University at present has 14 schools, 12 at the Dwarka campus and two at the newly established East Delhi campus, Surajmal Vihar. The varsity also has one centre of excellence in pharmaceutical sciences at the Dwarka campus.
It has also decided to upgrade the existing Centre of Disaster Management Studies (CDMS) as a Centre of Excellence in Disaster Management at the same meeting.
