AKTU, AIT ink pact for exchange of courses and research
APJ Abdul Kalam University in Lucknow has signed an in-principal pact with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for the exchange of courses and research.
APJ Abdul Kalam University (AKTU) has inked a pact with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for the exchange of courses and research between the two institutes which means that now the students of AKTU can pursue MTech from Bangkok and students of AIT can pursue BTech from AKTU.
The decision was taken during a virtual meeting between AKTU vice-chancellor Prof PK Mishra and the director of the special degree programme at AIT Prof Nitin Tripathi.
The pact is also for joint research
Under the agreement, the two institutes will conduct joint research and will also exchange faculty to help in academics and get updated with the latest technology.
"We will explore possibilities of marketing our products at international standards. This will not only encourage entrepreneurship but will also benefit local entrepreneurs," said an official, as reported by TOI.
The focus will be on promoting entrepreneurship. For PhDs degree, under supervisors from both universities, any of the institutes can award a degree and experts from the two institutes will help each other with research on topics like artificial intelligence, food, bioprocessing technology, geo-informatics, energy, and nanotechnology.
Admissions open for MTech at AKTU
The university has invited the online applications from the interested and eligible GATE Qualified candidates for admission to MTech academic session 2022-23. The last date to apply is July 20, 2022, and the MTech program is offered in Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering, Micro Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power and Energy systems, Structural Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
