IIT Delhi: Green Urja Conclave inauguration on World Environment Day

Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey to unveil Green Urja Conclave at IIT Delhi on World Environment Day on June 5, 2022.

IIT Delhi: Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ashwini Kumar Choubey will inaugurate the Green Urja Conclave 2022 and Green Globe Awards ceremony on World Environment Day, on June 5 on the college campus.

The Green Urja Conclave 2022 will be organised by the Confederation of Renewable Energy Service Professionals and Industries (CRESPAI) in association with the University of Delhi, Hansraj College, IIM Lucknow, and IIT Delhi.

The union minister will share his valuable insights at the event on India’s global journey toward carbon neutrality and the government policy to reduce carbon footprint and global warming. He will also honour the individuals and institutions working towards environment protection and green energy, as reported by India Educationary.

Many green heroes to attend the event

During the second edition of the Green Urja Conclave, many green heroes are going to attend the event including the environment activists and conservationists from across the country. The winners will be announced in 14 categories.

CRESPAI is a Delhi based non-governmental body working to promote the use of clean energy.

“We all are aware that climate change is a reality and it demands immediate action from all the stakeholders from local to Central government bodies and international organisations. Both the public and private sector institutions will have to share the responsibility towards mitigating the impact of climate change. For sustainable development policy makers, industries and civil society organisations must come together. CRESPAI is working to promote clean energy and green environment by providing a platform for all stakeholders,” said CA Sudhir Kumar Dash, President, CRESPAI.
