JEE Main 2022 registrations likely to start in January
It is also likely that medical entrance exam NEET will be held in June 2022. However, there is no official confirmation yet from the exam conducting body, National Testing Agency (NTA).
The registration process for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2022 is likely to begin in January 2022 on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, while medical entrance exam, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2022, is expected to be conducted in June next year.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts both JEE Main and NEET, will soon release exam dates on its official website. JEE Main 2022 examination is likely to be conducted in four sessions – February, March, April, and May 2022. In order to appear for JEE Main 2022, the candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in 2020, 2021 or should be appearing in 2022. There are speculations that the syllabus or exam pattern is likely to remain same like that of JEE Main 2021 in which students were given internal choices. For NEET 2022, the students will be offered internal choices like they were offered in 2021. The internal choice option was introduced for the first time in 2021.
JEE Main is conducted every year for students who are seeking admissions in undergraduate engineering programmes in universities such as IITs, NITs, and other private and government colleges across the country.
NEET is the only entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in India. NEET is conducted once a year in offline mode. The NTA conducts NEET for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Veterinary, and other medical/paramedical courses in India. The scores of NEET UG 2021 will be used for BSc Nursing and Life Sciences Admissions.
