JMI Vice-Chancellor Professor Najma Akhtar expressed her contentment over the development and said that CBSE was approached by the University for an approval on the Equivalence Certificate as some students who passed Classes 10 and 12 from our schools complained about denial of admission by a few schools and colleges on grounds of equivalence. “I am happy that our students will not have to face this problem from now onwards,” said the Vice-Chancellor, the press note added.

Meanwhile, a National Academic Depository (NAD) cell at the Controller of Examinations (CoE) office has been set up by Jamia Millia Islamia.
