Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) students are protesting against the university's decision to conduct the previous semesters' examination in an offline mode.

The students of Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) have initiated a protest on Monday morning and urged the University to withdraw its decision to conduct the offline examination.

On Monday morning, the law students from different parts of the state have gathered on the KLSU campus in Hubballi to protest against the decision and the protest continued even on Monday night.

The main concern of KSLU students is that the university has decided to conduct the offline examination of the previous semesters after promoting the students to the next semester. Moreover, despite other modes of examinations such as online mode is permitted by the competent authorities, the university decided to conduct the exams in offline mode only.

The students are demanding different methods of assessment other than offline examination for the previous semesters. They have also cited that other law universities have cancelled the offline examinations then why Vice-Chancellor of KSLU is insisting on conducting examinations in an offline mode only.

Some of the tweets on the KSLU protest are:

"@NSUIKarnataka activists staged a protest at Karnataka State Law university, Hubli regarding

1)Conducting exams at the price of an academic year.

2)Re-evaluation errors.

We will fight against injustice and stand with the students of KSLU until demands are met."

"Replying to @KSLU_Students @NSUIKarnataka and @MANISH_G_RAJ @dpradhanbjp What is the use of passing National Education Policy 2020, when you have such lame system for execution & administration. @KSLU_Students have suffered as all #Students across country in #pandemic. What's the issue in following the UGC & BCI guidelines? @narendramodi"

"Still KSLU is sticked to conduct ofline exams and refusing to start classes for next academic year. And university knowingly wasting the precious one year of law students. Students are protesting day and night all over the Karnataka. @JCMBJP @drashwathcn @lawmininida"

"Every student except KSLU students has moved to the next sem through online mode or internal basis mode. But we still fighting for the previous sem exam, for making one exam happen we are facing so many difficulties."
