The overall pass percentage for KTU BTech results 2022 stood at 50.74%, which is slightly lower, compared to last year’s 51.86%.

KTU BTech Results 2022: APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University declared the BTech examination results of the 2018-22 batch. The overall pass percentage for KTU BTech results 2022 stood at 50.74%, which is slightly lower, compared to last year’s 51.86%. The results of the final and eighth-semester examinations ended on July 20 were consolidated and published on July 31 itself.

The results of the fourth batch of BTech, including the supplementary examinations of the seventh and sixth semesters, were announced within the four-year course period, according to the University. Students were allowed to download their provisional certificates and grade cards from student portals immediately after the announcement of results.

Degree Certificates to be available on DigiLocker

“It’s a matter of pride for all of us that we have been able to publish the final results in a time-bound manner, ahead of other technical universities in the country. It is for the first time that any university in the state made available digitally signed certificates to students. Applications for degree certificates would be accepted from August 2 and degree certificates would be made available in DigiLocker,” she said.

25,851 out of the total 28,328 students from 144 engineering colleges were eligible to appear for the final-year examinations. A total of 2,477 students failed to reach the eighth semester owing to various reasons. Of the 25,808 students who appeared for the examination, 13,025 cleared the examination. The success rate in 2019, 2020 and 2021 were 36.5%, 46.5% and 51.86% respectively.

1,321 students earn BTech honours

The varsity awards a BTech degree to those who obtain 182 credits in eight semesters. However, a BTech honours degree is given to students who earn a grade above eight until the fourth semester, and then earn an additional 12 credits by studying four extra subjects, including two online courses, without losing a single subject until the eighth semester. Of the 13,025 students who were eligible to pursue BTech honours, 1,321 students (10.14%) cracked the course. As many as 89 students from MA College, Kothamangalam; 85 from Palakkad and 77 from Saintgits Kottayam graduated with honours.
