KVPY Exam cancelled from 2022 onwards, DST to club KVPY with INSPIRE fellowship

The KVPY Exam will not be conducted from 2022 onwards. DST has decided to subsume KVPY with INSPIRE, reads the official KVPY website.

KVPY Exam 2022: The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exam has been cancelled and will not be conducted from this year. The Department of Science and Technology, DST has announced that the KVPY exam has been cancelled and now the KVPY fellowship will be clubbed with the INSPIRE fellowship.

"DST has decided to subsume KVPY with INSPIRE. KVPY Aptitude test will not be conducted from the year 2022 onwards. Ongoing KVPY fellows will continue to receive fellowship as per norms from DST,” stated the official notice issued by DST on the official website of KVPY.

 INSPIRE is a fellowship programme under the Department of Science and Technology to encourage the youth of Indian to pursue science from an early age and "build the required critical human resource pool for strengthening and expanding the Science & Technology system and R & D base".
IISc Bangalore had conducted the KVPY Exam 2021 on May 22 and the results for the same were announced on June 24 for SA, SB/SX streams. Students who have received the fellowship grant up to 2021 will continue to be supported.
From 2022 and onwards, the exam will be combined with INSPIRE and will be conducted under one name by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
