The National Law University, Delhi has extended the last date of application for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2020 until May 15. Moreover, AILET 2020, scheduled to be held on May 30 has been postponed until further notice. NLU Delhi has published the notification regarding the same on April 25, 2020, and stated that the new date of examination will be notified soon. Read the official notification below:
The NLU Delhi Administration has decided the following about AILET 2020:
1. The last date of submission of application form for AILET 2020 stands extended till 15 May 2020.
2. The University Administration is in the process of finalizing the Fresh Date for the conduct of AILET 2020. The fresh date will be intimated soon.
All other details will remain as per the Admission Announcement available on the
website of the university.
AILET is the only entrance exam conducted and accepted by NLU Delhi for admissions undergraduate and postgraduate law courses. The entrance exam was earlier scheduled to be held on May 3, however, the events related to AILET 2020 were rescheduled due to COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. The situation in the country is getting worse day by day as COVID-19 confirmed cases keep increasing. The university has postponed AILET 2020 for the same reason.
Recently, the consortium of 22 NLUs has also postponed its entrance exam, the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) to June 21, and extended the last date of application until May 18. Both, the law entrance exams, are conducted around the same time of year, therefore, it is expected AILET 2020 will also be conducted in the second or third week of June 2020.
