AILET 2020 is being conducted in an online mode from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at various test centres across India. Here's what the test-takers need to know about the exam day.

The National Law University, Delhi will be conducting the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2020 on September 26 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The exam is being conducted in the Computer-Based Test mode due to COVID-19 risk. The candidates taking the exam this year will be experiencing different features of AILET exam. Therefore, Shiksha has listed here a few things that the test-takers should know beforehand.

NTA is the exam conducting authority

This year, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, NLU Delhi has asked the National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct the examination. NTA will be taking all the necessary precautions for the safety of the test-takers against COVID-19. Moreover, as the mode of examination has been changed, the exam authority will ensure proper test facilities at the test centres.

Increased test centres

To conduct the examination in the safest and fairest mode, NTA has increased the number of test centres for AILET 2020. Therefore, now there are around 130 test centres in 64 cities all over India. The test centres are located in non-containment zones of 22 states.

Test centre selection

Candidates were given the facility to select their nearest exam centres through NTA- Auto Selection of CIty and Centre for AILET. Thus, candidates could select their nearest location from the available choices and then download the admit cards.

Mode of examination

The mode of examination for AILET 2020 is now CBT mode instead of the Paper-Based Test (PBT) mode. This is being done to contain the spread of Coronavirus among the test-takers. Earlier, NLU Delhi had decided to conduct AILET 2020 in a Remotely-Proctored Testing Mode. However, after analysing the situation and, considering the lack of test-taking resources with the candidates, the exam authority changed the mode to CBT mode.
