AILET PhD Admission 2024: The National Law University (NLU), Delhi has extended the deadline to submit the Research Proposal for AILET PhD admission 2024. All the qualified candidates, meeting the requisite academic qualifications are required to submit a Research Proposal by February 5, 2024. They must note that no further requests will be entertained in this regard. The Research Proposal is required to be uploaded in both PDF and word format.
All Research proposals submitted by candidates for AILET PhD admission 2024 will be examined by the Research Advisory Committee. After that, the candidates will be called to make a presentation before the Doctoral Committee on the Research Proposal. The date for the same will be notified by the University soon.
Number of Seats For AILET PhD Admission 2024
As per the notification released, there are a total of 25+2 (UGC-JRF: 5 seats, AILET Merit -16 seats, Fellowship through AILET Merit -4 seats and Foreign Nationals -2) seats for Ph.D. in Law.
For PhD in Social Sciences, there are a total of 4 (UGC JRF, AILET, Foreign Nationals, Fellowships) seats. The University will follow the reservation policy as per UGC Regulations for admission to PhD. Programme for the academic year 2024-25.
Who will evaluate AILET PhD Research Proposals?
The Research Advisory Committee will assist the Doctoral Committee in evaluating the research proposals as per the guidelines prescribed by NLU Delhi. Candidates equal to three times the number of available seats will be shortlisted for defence of the Research Proposal before the Doctoral Committee based on the evaluation of Research Proposals by the Research Advisory Committee.
The decision of the Doctoral Committee in recommending the names of the candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall be final. The admissions will finally be approved by the Vice-Chancellor on the recommendations of the Doctoral Committee.
