Breaking News: CLAT Reservation Criteria 2024 REVISED, Check Details

For the UG and PG programmes, a ‘Domicile Reservation’ category has been added. Candidates domiciled in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (DNH & DD) are eligible for consideration in this reservation category. CLAT 2024 Reservation Category: The Consortium of National Law Universities has announced one of the more NLU additions to the reservation category. As per the official notification, Gandhinagar National Law University (GNLU), Silvassa has added the Domicile Reservation category. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2024) is scheduled to be held on December 3, 2023. The registration process for CLAT 2024 is currently underway. The last date to fill CLAT 2024 Application Form is November 3, 2023. Candidates will have to submit the CLAT 2024 application form at the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Candidates must note that the consortium has also released step-by-step instructions to update the reservation category for students who have chosen GNLU. Candidates are also advised to check the GNLU updated information brochure on its official website.

How to update reservation category in CLAT Application Form 2024?

Candidates can check the steps to update the reservation category by following the simple steps given below:

• Login to CLAT 2024 candidate account.
• Click on the ‘Edit Application’ button
• Go to the ‘Reservation’ tab under GNLU, Silvassa
• Click on the question, “Are you a domicile of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu?”, and answer “Yes”
• Select the Reservation Category you want to claim from the given drop-down menu.
• Click the ‘Submit’ button to save your changes

Meanwhile, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has told the Delhi High Court that it supports the petition filed to conduct CLAT 2024 in regional languages other than English.
