Calcutta University Entrance Exam 2021 For BA LLB Scrapped; Application Form Released

Calcutta University will not hold entrance exam for admission in BA LLB courses. Instead, the admission will be based on 10+2 marks.

Calcutta University BA LLB Admission 2021

The University of Calcutta has released the BA LLB application form and notice. The last date to apply is September 7. This year the University will not be holding any entrance exam. Calcutta University BA LLB admission will be based on marks of the best 4 performing subjects of the candidates in 10+2.

Also, there is no application fee to apply for CU BA LLB 2021. To apply candidates have to visit the official website caluniv-ucsta.net/llb/. The steps to be followed thereafter are:

  • Click on the link ‘Click Here for Sign Up/Login’.
  • Next, click on the link for new applicant registration.
  • Register with the details asked.
  • Next login with the login details sent on the registered email id.
  • Fill the application form.
  • Upload the scanned documents.
  • Submit the application form.

There will be no provision of application form correction. Therefore fill all the details in the form carefully.

After the application process ends, Calcutta University (CU) will draw the merit list. The merit list for the BA LLB course will be published on September 9. CU will publish the overall merit list and category-wise seat capacity.

Next, CU will be holding e-counselling. The e-counselling dates have yet not been announced, but CU has mentioned tentative dates for the same as September 13, 20 and 27. Counselling will be done considering the merit list and college preference given at the time of application form submission

After each phase of e-counselling the candidates who have been allotted the seat, have to download the admission slip.

The total number of seats in BA LLB across all CU affiliated colleges is 1680. There are a total of 13 colleges under CU including the Department of Law, University of Calcutta that offer BA LLB courses based on CU BA LLB e-counselling.
