CLAT 2023 Exam Day Live

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for academic year 2023 was held on December 18, 2022. The exam was held in a pen-paper based test mode from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam authority, CLAT consortium has arranged more than 127 test centres in 25 states of India. More than 50,000 candidates were expected to appear for CLAT 2023 UG and more than 15,000 for CLAT 2023 PG exam. CLAT 2023 Exam Day Schedule

On the day of examination, the exam centre officials organised CLAT 2023 as per the schedule below:

    CLAT 2023 Answer Key Published, Objection window opens at 9 am

    The answer keys of CLAT 2023 for UG and PG papers is out now. Candidates can check and download the answer keys for their respective exam. They will also be able to raise objections on it regarding any discrepancy in the question papers.

    CLAT 2023 Analysis Out!

    What after CLAT 2023?

    CLAT 2023 is over now, Candidates who took the exam will now be able to download the provisional answer key for their respective course. The exam authority will publish the answer key around 6- 7 pm.

    CLAT 2023 - Exam Over, Analysis to be out soon

    The exam centre officials announced concluding CLAT 2023 at sharp 4 pm. Candidates will start leaving the test centres 15 minutes later. The exam analysis of CLAT 2023 will be published anytime soon.

    CLAT 2023 Exam begins

    Candidates have been seated as per the plan, and provided question booklet. They were instructed about basic protocols to take the examination. 

    The exam will be held as per the schedule below:

    CLAT 2023 Officials announce instructions

    The exam centre officials instructed candidates for frisking, documents, and seating arrangements from 12:30 am onwards. The actual reporting begins at 1:00 pm. Candidates were advised to leave their belonging outside the exam centre only. 

    • Electronic devices including mobile phone
    • Watch,
    • Calculator
    • Headphones/ Earphones
    • Stationery items other than Pen and Pencil 
    • Bags/ books/ any belongings
    • Eatables/ snacks

    In case, candidates require medical tablets (Diabetic) or hearing aids, then they can be allowed to carry it inside the examination hall on showing a certificate/ letter from a ceritified documents.

    CLAT 2023 Last entry allowed

    In case candidates who report at the last moment, the exam centre officials will allow them entry. The similar protocols are to followed for late candidates as well. No entry will be allowed after 2:15 pm.

    CLAT 2023 Reporting Begins

    The candidates taking CLAT 2023 started reporting to their allotted exam centres from 11 am onwards. Some of the candidates reached to the Noida test centres from far places, therefore, they started their journey to the centre 2 hours earlier.

    CLAT 2023 - Pattern and Marking Scheme

    The exam pattern for CLAT 2023 has been defined by the exam authority, and every year the question paper carries following weightage in each section:

    Moreover, the marking scheme of CLAT 2023 will also be on similar pattern of previous years:

    • One mark awarded for each correct answer

    • 0.25 marks deducted from the total score for each incorrect attempt

    • No marks awarded or deducted for questions left un-attempted

    Candidates have to attempt CLAT 2023 question paper as per the instructions shared by the exam authority. Some of the key guidelines for taking CLAT 2023 are:

    CLAT 2023 - Items prohibited inside examination hall

    Candidates are advised to not carry following items inside the examination or they will be barred from taking CLAT 2023:

    • Mobile phones or Calculators
    • Digital watches
    • Sunglasses
    • Headphones/ Bluetooth earpieces 
    • Bags/ Wallets
    • Study Material or any paper other than CLAT 2023 admit card and allowed documents

    Besides, candidates should not wear suspicious clothing items like cap, muffler, gloves etc. Eventhough, CLAT 2023 is being held during dipping temperature, caniddates are still advised to refrain from anything that can become a barrier on their exam day.

    CLAT 2023 Mandatory Documents

    Candidates must carry the following documents to the exam centre or they will not be allowed to take CLAT 2023: 

    • CLAT 2023 Admit Card
    • Self-attest photograph (if photo on admit card not clear)
    • A Government photo ID Proof - Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Ration Card / PDS Photo Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, Photo ID issued by Recognised Educational Institution, Photo Bank ATM Card, Kissan Photo Passbook, CGHS / ECHS Photo Card, Address Card having Name and Photo issued by Department of Posts, Certificate of Identity having photo issued by Gazetted Officer or Tehsildar on letterhead, Disability ID Card/handicapped medical certificate issued by the respective State/UT
      Governments/Administrations)
    • PWD/SAP certificate 
    • Letter for Scribe/ Permission for Scribe as obtained from CLAT 2023 officials 

    Apart from these documents, candidates will be allowed to carry following items inside the examination hall

    • Black or Blue ball point pens
    • Transparent Water Bottle
    • A Face Mask (Candidate may be asked to take off the mask for identification)
