CLAT 2024 exam date announced: Exam on December 3, Online applications to begin soon!

In a meeting held on May 20, the Consortium of National Law Universities have decided the exam date for CLAT 2024, and informed that the online applications will be begin soon at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Read official notification for CLAT 2024 exam date here. 

The CLAT Consortium has released the notification on May 23 around 7 pm to inform law aspirants about the exam date for CLAT 2024 as well as, availability of application forms. The online applications for CLAT 2024 will begin shortly. CLAT 2024 exam will be held on December 3, 2023, in a pen-paper based test mode. The exam will be held on the same day for admission to five-year integrated LLB course, and one-year LLM course offered at 24 participating National Law Universities in India. The admission will be based on the scores obtained by candidates in CLAT 2024 exam as well as, the eligibility criteria set for the respective course. 

As stated in the official notification, "The Executive Committee and Governing Body of the Consortium of National Law Universities (the “Consortium”) met at the National Law Institute University, Bhopal on May 20, 2023 and decided that the Common Law Admission Test 2024 shall be conducted on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Further details regarding the syllabus, application and counselling process shall be released shortly."

The official website is yet to be updated with this latest notification, however, once it is available, aspirants will get all details regarding CLAT 2024 events, exam pattern, syllabus and other details. As of now, CLAT Consortium will release third merit list for CLAT 2023 on May 25, for admission to the remaining seats at the participating colleges. 

Note that, CLAT exam is not conducted for admission to the three-year LLB course offered at NLSIU Bangalore, and now NLU Odisha. The admission criteria is different for the three-year LLB course as specified by the respective NLUs.
