The registration process for CLAT 2025, which will admit students to 24 NLUs and other participating universities, is currently underway. CLAT 2025: The Consortium of National Law Universities has added a reservation category in National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). The notice stated, “For UG and PG, the following reservations has been added. 1) EWS of Assam 2) Wards of Defense Personnel posted in Assam (The defense personnel may be from any region in India; however, posted in Assam) Eligible candidates are requested to update their reservation on the CLAT Portal.”

How to update the reservation category in CLAT 2025 form? 

The consortium has also released important instructions to update the reservation category for candidates who have opted for National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam . They must also check the updated information brochure for NLUJA on its official website. The steps to update the reservation category are given below: 

  • Visit to the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Login to CLAT candidate account
  • Click on the edit application button
  • Go to the reservation tab under NLUJA
  • For the question - Are you a domicile of Assam? answer yes and select the Reservation Category you want to claim from the given drop-down menu
  • Click the submit button to save changes

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has not made some changes in CLAT Exam Pattern 2025 of CLAT undergraduate (UG) and CLAT postgraduate (PG) courses.

Q:   What is eligibility for CLAT 2025?

A:

All those candidates who are willing to appear for the CLAT should meet the eligibility criteria as announced by the Consortium of National Law Universities. All eligible candidates must fill the CLAT application form before the last date.The consortium released the updated eligibility criteria of CLAT for admission to 5-year LLB and LLM courses on its official website. These criteria include parameters like academic qualification, minimum marks, age limit, etc. 

Q:   What are CLAT 2025 qualifying marks for the OBC category?

From the total seats offered at all the National Law Universities (NLUs), a reservation is provided to different categories including OBC, SC, ST, PWD, KM, Armed Forces and more. Know here all about CLAT 2025 Reservation Policy for all NLUs in detail. CLAT cut off for OBC ranges between 70-80. Previously, CLAT cut off for OBC and SC/ST use to be between 80 to 85. Students must note that CLAT 2025 cut off may vary from college to college for all categories of students.

Q:   What is the age limit for CLAT 2025?

As per the official eligibility criteria of the CLAT 2025, there was no age-limit criteria for candidates to appear in CLAT UG 2025 or CLAT PG 2025 exam. However, it was mandatory for candidates to fulfill other basic educational requirements, to take part in the CLAT Exam 2025.

Candidates must pass Class 12 examination by April/May 2025 and submit the passing certificates at the time of admission.
To be eligible for the CLAT PG 2025, you must have a minimum percentage of 50 per cent in LLB or any other equivalent degree from a recognised university.
