CLAT 2021 exam day guidelines have been officially released by the consortium of NLUs. The exam will be held today from 2 pm to 4 pm in offline mode. Check here Covid-19 protocol and more guidelines.
The Consortium of the NLUs has released official notice bearing the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 guidelines. As per the notice, the candidates will need to reach their exam centre by 1:30 pm. The exam will start from 2 pm onwards and will end at 4 pm.
Here are the important guidelines communicated to the CLAT aspirants who will take the exam today, ie, July 23, 2021.
Reporting time is 1:30 pm: Candidates have to reach the exam centre after 1:30 pm. Entry in the centres will be only permitted on presenting the CLAT admit card.
Deadline to reach the centre is 2:15 pm: No candidate will be allowed inside their allotted exam centre of CLAT 2021 after 2:15 pm. The gates will close.
Important bell timings for CLAT 2021:
- At 1:30 pm there will be a bell that will signify entry at the exam hall.
- Next bell will ring at 1:50 pm which means distribution of the question papers and answer sheets have started.
- Further, the next bell will ring at 2 pm, this is when candidates can open their sealed question paper and answer sheets and start the exam.
- A bell at 2:25 will go off next signifying the deadline to enter the exam hall.
- At 3 pm one-hour completion bell will ring.
- At 3:50 pm a warning bell will be ringing.
- At 4 pm the bell for completion of the exam will ring. Also Read: CLAT 2021 analysis after the exam
During the exam: The candidates have to put their signature and fill in all the details such as admit card number, question paper booklet number, etc, on the front page of the OMR response sheet. Other than that, while answering the questions in the exam, as per the instructions candidates can only use blue / black ballpoint pens. Also, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for any incorrect answer marked in the test. Any candidate who is found either copying or receiving or giving assistance will be disqualified. What to carry at CLAT exam centre today: Today at the respective exam halls, candidates have to take with them:
- Blue/Black Ball Pen
- CLAT 2021 admit card
- Any Photo I.D. Proof issued by the Government
- Transparent water bottle
- Sanitiser, face shield and hand gloves
- What not to take at the exam hall: Candidates are forbidden to carry their cell phones or any other electronic gadgets. Also Read: CLAT 2021 exam day guidelines in pandemic
Covid-19 guidelines - temperature check: The centre staff will check the temperature of each candidate with Thermal Guns. If the temperature of any candidate exceeds 99.14° F, such candidate will be directed to be seated in a different room. These candidates will not be permitted to leave the said room until all candidates have left the campus.
Recently tested for Covid-19: The candidates who have recently tested positive for Covid-19 will not be allowed to take CLAT on July 23, 2021.
Masks and shields should be worn regularly: During the entire exam process, the face mask/ shield must be kept on the face. Sanitisers must be used regularly, however, make sure the sanitiser is not spilled over the OMR sheet. The chemical can ruin the answer copy.
