CLAT Counselling 2021: Last date for seat acceptance in round 1 today

The last date for seat acceptance in CLAT 2021 counselling round 1 is today. The CLAT seat allotment list for round 2 will be out on August 9.

The Consortium of NLUs had released the first CLAT seat allotment list for round 1 admissions on August 1. All candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 1 can accept the seat, apply for upgrade or exit the admission process latest by today, August 5, 5:00 PM.

The CLAT second seat allotment list will be released on August 9. Candidates will have the choice of accepting the seat latest by August 10.

CLAT Counselling Process 2021 - Seat Acceptance/Seat Upgrade/Exit Admission Process

Let us understand all the options candidates who have been allotted seats in NLUs have below:

• Seat acceptance: Candidates can accept the seat allotted to them by logging into their registered accounts on the official website of the exam. By accepting the seat, candidates will not be able to participate in any further rounds of counselling.
• Seat upgrade: In case, candidates are not satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they can apply for upgrade. In this case, candidates will have to wait for the subsequent rounds of counselling to see if they get their preferred NLU.
• Exit admission process: Candidates can choose to exit from the counselling process if they do not wish to secure admission in any NLU.

What after CLAT Seat Acceptance?

Once candidates accept a seat or apply for upgrade, they need to upload all the prescribed documents on the official website. Thereafter, candidates also need to pay the remaining admission fee to the allotted NLU.
