Constitution Day Celebrations: DSNLU students get top honours in debate

While celebrating Constitution Day, DSNLU students bagged the top honours in debate and students from Visakha Law College won first prize in the quiz competition.

The various law colleges participated in the Constitution Day celebration held at the HPCL auditorium. The students displayed their talents in the competitions and three students from Visakha Law College, Bheemunipatnam won first prize in the quiz competition. The three students names are - Danial Kumar, Behera Trujay Kumar, and Moramarri Sunil. 

The second prize in the quiz competition was won by  Y. Pravallika, R.S. Lakshmi Narayana, and K. Lahari Nath of NBM Law College, Visakhapatnam.

DSNLU (Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University), Sabbavaram's students named Sanjana Dadmi, Parkhi Rai and Shruti Kulkarni bagged the top honours in the debate at Constitution Day celebrations. The second prize in the debate competition was won by Anusha, Phani Shekar and MV Raman of NBM College.

The rival teams agreed that a strong Centre was required for the progress of India.

Former Vice-Chancellor of DSNLU, Y. Satyanarayana, asked one of the teams to speak something on the Centre's poor response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the team attributed the poor response to the unparalleled situation during the Covid-19.

Quiz Master P. Venkata Murali conducted the quiz competition whereas the debate competition was judged by P.V. Rama Krishna Rao, senior advocate and legal advisor to the city police, Visakhapatnam Bar Association, Prof. Satyanarayana, and Vydyula Ravindra Prasad, president, Visakhapatnam Bar Association.

DSNLU is also known as NLU Visakhapatnam which was established in the year 2008 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The law university offers BA LLB (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law)(Hons), LLM (Master of Laws), PhD (Doctor of Philosophy), LLD (Doctor of Laws) and PG diploma programmes under various specialisations of Law. 

Visakha Law College offers three years LLB, five years integrated BA LLB, and two years LLM programs. NBM Law College offers LLM, BA LLB, and LLB courses.
