Dharmashastra National Law University has secured a Group Health Insurance Policy from ICICI for all the students of the university.

In a significant move, Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU) has announced securing a Group Health Insurance Policy by ICICI for all the students of the university. The policy covers medical expenses up to INR 2 lakhs and includes every major disease such as Covid-19.

The official notification reads, "Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur, is proud to announce that, as per the initiative of Prof (Dr) V Nagaraj, Vice-Chancellor, DNLU, Jabalpur, we have secured and covered all 654 students under the Group Health Insurance Policy by ICICI Lombard. Under the policy, the students can avail of cashless/reimbursement services as identification of medical expenses up to INR 2,00,000 (Rupees Two Lakhs) incurred by the insured students during the day-care treatment, hospitalisation and domiciliary hospitalisation for any illness or injury suffered."

The policy covers 30 days and 60 days of pre-hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation cost of treatment. The insurance covers all major diseases, including Covid-19, its variants, and associated diagnostics expenses. The cashless treatment is available in almost all major approved hospitals of Jabalpur and outside across the country, added DNLU's statement.

The university also said that students are not charged any additional fee for the Group Health Insurance Policy.

DNLU to organise workshop from Dec 22 to Dec 24

The university is all set to organise a training program for young lawyers on advocacy skills (Criminal Trials) for three days from December 22 to December 24, 2022.

The sessions for the workshop will be taken by sitting High Court Judges, Retd. Judges, Advocates and Academicians. The last date for registration is December 15, 2022.
