Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) is conducting a three days workshop on Public International Law from October 14 to October 16, 2022.
The three days long workshop on Public International Law will be conducted by Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) from October 14 to October 16, 2022. The registration fee is INR 590 and the last date to register is October 10, 2022.
About GMU's Public International Law Workshop
The course is to impart a basic understanding of the principles of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and its procedure, the students will get the ability to understand the jurisprudence of admission and evaluation of evidence, a basic understanding of the measures by ICJ. The course will be taught by lecture method, Socratic discussion, and seminar-style discussion.
"The Course addresses the techniques of practice before the International Court of Justice and its jurisprudence. It does not include the technicalities of any other international tribunal. It also does not address the basics of International Law," reads GMU's notification.
On October 14, International Law & Basics of Pre-emptory norms will be discussed, on October 15, during the first session, Law and Practice of International Courts and Tribunals will be taught and in the second session on the same day, the topic of discussion will be International Courts & Tribunals Jurisprudence and recent rulings. The course topics for the last day, October 16, will be - Established principles under Article 38 of ICJ Statute and Relevance of provisional measures and International Courts & Tribunals.
