HNLU announces VC Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme

The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students of Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur to facilitate them to pursue their courses at HNLU.

Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur has announced the Vice-Chancellor Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme (VC(MS)2). The university proposes to provide scholarships to a total of 24 students from Sem 3 onwards of B.A., LL.B. (Hons) and to 6 students of LL.M. 2nd semester.

The scheme will start from the January session of the academic year 2022-23, no scholarship under this policy shall be claimed as a matter of right. The university will provide scholarships to eligible candidates as per the criteria. 

Eligibility Criteria for the scholarship

The eligibility criteria for applying for a scholarship under this scheme are as follows:

• The student must have secured more than 70% marks in the senior secondary examination or in B.A. LL.B./ LL.B. for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate scholarships respectively; and 

• The annual income of the parents of the student shall not exceed INR 5,00,000. The student must have an overall 6.00 CGPA in the previous semesters.

• The student shall have 80% attendance in the preceding academic year in every subject jointly and severally.

• The student has not been found guilty of ragging, sexual harassment, caste discrimination or any other violation of University Disciplinary Rules.

Any student who avails any external scholarship(s) shall not be eligible to avail of a scholarship under this scheme. HNLU will provide scholarships based on the availability of funds.
