Madhya Pradesh Cabinet approves New Government Law College in Agar Malwa

A substantial budget of Rs 384 crore 6 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of hostels for boys and girls near 110 settlements in 20 districts, aiming to provide quality educational facilities.

Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given its nod for a new Government Law College in Agar Malwa.

The cabinet has given the nod for the creation of 30 new positions, including 22 academic cadre and 8 non-academic cadre, for the establishment of the Government Law College. The earmarked budget for this initiative includes a recurring expenditure of Rs 1 crore 99 lakh 50 thousand per year and a non-recurring expenditure of Rs 20 lakh.

This decision underscores the state government's commitment to expanding access to legal education and providing new avenues for aspiring law professionals in Agar Malwa.

Anganwadi Centers and Educational Infrastructure Across Specially Backward Tribal Areas

In a concerted effort towards the holistic development of specially backward tribal areas, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has also approved a comprehensive plan for educational infrastructure. Under the "Saksham Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0" scheme, 194 new Anganwadi centers will be established in villages with a population of 100 or more, lacking existing facilities.

The construction of these centers will be carried out by Gram Panchayats, ensuring that the designs align with the unique tribal environment. The total expenditure approved for the operation of Anganwadi centers amounts to Rs 15 crore 70 lakh, demonstrating the government's commitment to early childhood education and nutrition.

Focus on Hostel Facilities and Multipurpose Centers

The cabinet has also directed attention towards improving the quality of education for children in settlements predominantly inhabited by especially backward tribal areas. A substantial budget of Rs 384 crore 6 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of hostels for boys and girls near 110 settlements in 20 districts, aiming to provide quality educational facilities.

Additionally, the Government of India's approval for the construction of 125 multipurpose centers in the state, targeting 11 different activities in especially backward tribal areas, reflects a collaborative effort to enhance educational and community engagement. These centers will receive 100% financial assistance from the government.

As per a note published by MP Government, the establishment of the Government Law College and the comprehensive development plan for education infrastructure in tribal areas represent key milestones in Madhya Pradesh's pursuit of a more inclusive and empowered future.
