Candidates can apply to a maximum of three colleges for admission through the MH CET Law 2024. They need to select a college during the Centralised Application Process (CAP) registration. There will be a fee applicable to the CAP registration.

The MH CET Law 2024 merit list for the 3-year LLB course will be released with the release of the MH CET Law 2024 3-year LLB result. The date for the release of the result has not been announced yet.

The University of Mumbai, SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi College of Law, KC Law College, and Government Law College are the institutions in Mumbai to which candidates can apply for 5-year and 3-year LLB programmes through their MH CET Law 2024 scores.

The MH CET Law Scorecard 2024 will be available on the official website of CET Cell Maharashtra, https://cetcell.mahacet.org/. The registration for the MH CET Law 2024 5-year LLB programme has been closed. The CET Cell Maharashtra will now release the admit card for the 5-year LLB programme. The official date for the release of the MH CET Law admit card 2024 for the 5-year LLB exam has not been declared yet.

The MH CET Law 2024 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) will start after the release of the MH CET Law 3-year LLB result. The CAP for the 3-year LLB course will tenatively be commenced in May 2024.

To calculate the score for the MH CET Law 2024 3-year LLB, candidates can use the following steps: 

• Step 1: Find the MEAN and STANDARD DEVIATION of ALL the students considering it as one group.
• Step 2: Find the MEAN and STANDARD DEVIATION of all the sessions individually.
• Step 3: Find the STANDARD SCORE of each student with the respective MEAN and STANDARD DEVIATION of the session. 

Formula for STANDARD SCORE = (Total Marks – MEAN of the Batch) / STANDARD DEVIATION of the BATCH.

• Step 4: Find the EQUATED SCORES.

Formula for EQAUTED SCORE = (STANDARD SCORE X STANDARD DEVIATION considering all candidates as one group) + MEAN considering all candidates as one

group.

• Step 5: Once the EQUATED SCORES are calculated for all the candidates. Candidates with 0 score (raw score) should be considered with as 0 as they are not eligible for Admission Process.
• Step 6: Round off the equated score to the nearest whole number.

The MH CET Law result 2024 can only be accessed by candidates who have logged onto their MAH CET account. The outcome will be made available through this account. This page provides a direct access to the portal: http://portal.maharashtracet.org.

When candidates get the same rank or score, the tie-breaking procedure used is as follows:

• On the merit list, candidates with greater percentages of marks in the Class 12 or equivalent exam are given preference.
• Candidates that received a higher proportion of their Class 12 first language marks
• Applicants with a high Class 10 percentage of marks
• a greater proportion of English scores on the Class 10 or comparable exam

CAP Round 1

Round 1 of CAP is the stage in which colleges accepting the MH CET Law offer seats to candidates after option form filling. In this stage, candidates can select the "Freeze" option on the CAP Portal to accept the seat preferred by them, and they will have to pay INR 1000 to confirm the seat. 
If a candidate does not receive his or her first preference seat, then he or she can click on the "Betterment" option and proceed with CAP Round 2.

Note: If the seat of first preference is offered to a candidate, he or she is bound to accept it. This candidate will also not be eligible for CAP Round 2 and Round 3. If he or she does not accept the seat, it will be offered to another candidate in CAP Round 2 or Round 3. 

CAP Round 2

As mentioned above, CAP Round 2 will be a "Betterment" round. The same rules or terms as those of Round 1 will be applicable to Round 2. If a candidate wants to accept the seat offered to him or her by a college, he or she will have to choose the "Freeze" option in "Seat Acceptance Stauts" or else opt for "Betterment" and will be considered for further allocation in Round 3. 

CAP Round 3

Round 3 of CAP will be the final round of admission to 5-year and 3-year law colleges through MH CET Law 2024. In this round, the vacant seats will be filled. 
Note: If a candidate freezes a seat and does not pay the MH CET Law CAP fee of INR 1000, he or she will be considered absent for the seat allotment process.

During the counselling process, candidates before accepting their seats have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices.

• Float option - If candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose the ‘Float’ option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.  
• Freeze option - Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

Kishanchand Chellaram Law College, Mumbai (KC Law College) will have a total of 240 seats for 3-year LLB students. There will be four divisions for the 3-year LLB classes at the college. Each division will have 60 students.

The MH CET Law merit list is a list of candidates who have been shortlisted for counseling based on their rank in the MH CET Law entrance exam. The merit list is prepared separately for MS (Maharashtra State), OMS (Other State / Outside Maharashtra State) candidates, Jammu & Kashmir Candidates and NRI, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) or All India category candidature type, Foreign Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Indian Citizen (OIC) / Person of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates. The admission process for the MH CET Law is called the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). It aims to allot colleges to candidates based on their MH CET Law result. CAP for the MH CET Law 2024 3-year LLB admission will start once the the result for the course is out.
