MH CET Law exam pattern and syllabus 2020

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (MH CET Cell) has released the exam pattern, syllabus and marking scheme of Maharashtra CET for Law (MH CET Law) 2020 for five-year integrated LLB course and three-year LLB course. Candidates appearing for MH CET Law 2020 can check here the exam pattern, marking scheme and syllabus for the respective courses here.

The CET Cell has already announced the exam dates of MH CET Law 2020 on December 5, 2019. The online application forms of MH CET Law 2020 will be available from January 20 to March 2, next year for five-year LLB course and, from March 19 to May 6 for three-year LLB courses. MH CET Law 2020 will be held on April 12 for five-year LLB courses and, on June 28 for three-year LLB courses.

MH CET Law 2020 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The state-level law entrance exam for both five-year integrated LLB and three-year LLB courses will be based on the pattern as under:

MH CET Law 2020 Syllabus

The question paper of both five-year LLB and three-year LLB courses will be based on the syllabus as under (except for mathematics, which is only for five-year LLB course)

Candidates’ ability and interest towards law, the study of law, legal aptitude and problem-solving ability

General Knowledge with Current Affairs

History including ancient, medieval and modern, Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics and the Current Affairs of past one year

Logical and Analytical Reasoning

Identify patterns, the rectification of logical links and illogical arguments, analogies, arguments completion, drawing well-supported conclusion, reasoning by analogy, applying principles or rules, structures, relationships among persons, events, and things

English

Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies), Proficiency (Idioms, Phrases, One-word substitution, Sentence Improvement, Rearrangement, Fill in the blanks), English Usage Errors (Common Errors, Spotting Errors, Inappropriate usage of words, spelling mistakes) and English Comprehension with two passages followed by five to ten questions based on reasoning and testing abilities

Mathematical Aptitude

The syllabus will be of Class 10th level and topics will be Profit and Loss, Speed, Distance and Time, Work, Algebra, Average, and Venn Diagram
