MH CET Law 2024: Benefits of Maharashtra Domicile Certificate
The benefits of having a Domicile Certificate for MH CET Law Registration are the following:
1. Eligibility for Seats Reserved for Maharashtra State Candidates:
- A Domicile Certificate is a mandatory document to claim reservation benefits under the "State Candidature" category.
- This category offers a significant number of seats exclusively for students who are bona fide residents of Maharashtra.
- By possessing a Domicile Certificate, you'll have access to these reserved seats, potentially increasing your chances of securing admission.
2. Lower Cut-Off Marks:
- Due to the reservation, cut-off marks for the State Candidature category are often lower than the general category cut-offs.
- This means you may qualify for admission even with a slightly lower score if you have a Domicile Certificate.
3. Priority in Admission:
- In case of a tie between two candidates with the same MH CET Law score, preference is given to the candidate with a Domicile Certificate.
- This gives you a slight edge in securing admission to your preferred law college.
4. Tuition Fee Benefits:
- Some government-run law colleges in Maharashtra offer lower tuition fees for students with Domicile Certificates.
- This can make legal education more affordable for students from the state.
5. Eligibility for Scholarships and Financial Aid:
- Certain scholarships and financial assistance programs are exclusively available to students with Domicile Certificates from Maharashtra.
- Holding this certificate can expand your options for financial support during your law studies.

MH CET Law 2024 Result (3-Year LLB) Live: Factors Affecting the MH CET Law Result
The following factors will affect the MH CET Law result 2024 for the 3-year LLB course:
- Number of Test Takers: The total number of candidates who appear for the MH CET Law exam has a direct impact on the cut-offs. Higher competition due to a larger applicant pool can lead to a rise in cut-off marks.
- Difficulty Level of the Exam: The overall difficulty of the MH CET Law exam can also influence the cut-offs. If the exam is generally considered tough, the cut-offs may be lower as fewer candidates score exceptionally high marks.
- Total Available Seats: The number of seats available for various law colleges participating in MH CET Law admissions plays a crucial role. Colleges with fewer seats tend to have higher cut-offs compared to those with more seats.
- Merit Ranks of Applicants: The merit rank secured by a candidate in the MH CET Law entrance exam determines their position relative to other test-takers. A higher rank signifies a better performance and increases the chances of admission into a preferred college.
- College and Course Preferences: The choices filled by candidates during the counselling process regarding colleges and preferred course (3-year LLB or 5-year LLB) can affect the cut-offs for specific colleges. If a large number of candidates opt for a particular college, the cut-off for that college can rise.
- Reservation Policy: Reservation policies for various categories (SC, ST, OBC, etc.) also play a part as seats are reserved based on these categories. The cut-offs for reserved category candidates may be lower than the general category cut-off.
