The long-postponed Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law 2020 is now expected to be conducted on any date between October 1 and 15. The new announcement has been made by the Higher Education Minister of Maharashtra after a meeting with officials monitoring COVID-19 situation in the state. The entrance exams for law course admissions were earlier scheduled to be held in June-August, however, got cancelled due to the worsening situations of Coronavirus in the country. Moreover, Maharashtra is the most affected state and, the entrance exam is conducted in regional locations only. Therefore, the Maharashtra CET Cell and state education minister decided to postpone the examination in the best interests of aspirants. Now, the entrance exams will be held on a revised date, which will be announced anytime soon. 

The Minister of Higher Education And Technical Education (Maharashtra), Uday Samant shared the information on a social media platform - "The Department of Higher and Technical Education is trying to conduct the State Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) for admission to various courses through CET Cell from 1st October to 15th October 2020. A revised schedule will be announced soon. Students should continue their studies."

 

The exam authority may ask the candidates to update their details and centre location preferences before issuing admit card to them. The admit card of MHCET Law 2020 will mention the details about the candidates, test course details and, allotted exam centre location. Candidates will also be instructed about how to take the exam in a safe and social-distance mode. They may be asked to download Arogya Setu Applocatoon or produce a medical certificate/ self-declaration of them being COVID free or cured.
