Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai in collaboration with Centre for Advocacy Research and Training in Sports Law is offering one-week online certificate course on "Sports Law in India" from October 9 to October 14, 2023.
It aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the complex legal landscape that governs the world of sports within the Indian context.
This comprehensive course is tailored to cater to law students, legal professionals, sports enthusiasts, and aspiring sports lawyers who seek to gain specialised knowledge about the intricate interplay between the legal framework and the sports industry.
The objective of the course is to familarise participants with the legal principles and regulations governing sports in India, to explore the diverse legal issues and challenges faced by sportspersons, organizations and stakeholders in the sports ecosystem, provide insights into the contractual, commercial, and intellectual property aspects of sports law, to analyse the ethical, gender-related and discrimination issues prevalent in the sports domain, and to offer participants a platform to engage in discussions about dispute resolution mechanisms in sports.
The course is designed for students, graduates, professors, trainers and educators, advocates, paralegals, legal practitioners, sports administrators, managers, sports journalists, consultants, agents, sports industry business executives, sportspersons, coaches, sports fans and enthusiasts.
"Participants must attend all modules and actively engage in the Q&A sessions. After each session, there will be a brief online objective-type assessment. Upon successfully finishing the course, participants will received a "Sports Law in India" certificate from MNLU Mumbai," said official statement.
