MNLU Nagpur organises 2nd National Moot Court Competition

The second national moot court competition of MNLU Nagpur was held between February 17, 2023, to February 19, 2023. It witnessed participation from more than thirty law schools across the country with twenty teams being selected for the offline oral rounds which followed the memorial round.

Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur (MNLU Nagpur) hosted the second national moot court competition between February 17, 2023, to February 19, 2023. The theme of the competition was an intersection between technology law, criminal law, and constitutional law. 

The competition witnessed participation from more than thirty law schools across the country and only twenty teams were selected for the offline oral rounds which followed the memorial round, as reported by Live Law.

The final round had a five-judge bench comprising of Justice G.A. Sanap, Judge, Bombay High Court (Bench at Nagpur); Sr. Adv. Ganapati Hegde (Partner, Dua Associates); Adv. Sangram Sirpurkar (Advocate at Bombay High Court); Ms Veena Sivaramakrishnan (Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.); and Mr Abhinav Maker (Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.). 

Vellore Institute of Technology Chennai was declared the winner and won prize money of INR 21,000. SKVM Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Mumbai, was declared as the runners-up and was awarded prize money of INR 15,000 along with the trophy.

In 2022, MNLU Nagpur hosted the first edition of its NMCC, which was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of MNLU Nagpur, Prof. (Dr.) Vijender Kumar, and was held between July 29-31, 2022.

MNLU Nagpur offers five years integrated degree course BA LLB (Hons), and one year LLM course. Also, PhD in interface with the law and legal issues, besides Diploma and Certificate Courses.
