As many as 1280 final-year law students of Mumbai University appeared in their exam without hall tickets which led to chaos in the seating arrangements at the exam centre.
Many law students of Mumbai University could not get the hall tickets before their examination on November 29, they appeared for the exam without hall tickets and were given PRN numbers instead before the exam. A total of 1280 final-year law students were without hall tickets at the examination centre and this led to a lot of chaos at the centre.
Before the examination, due to the delay in issuing the hall tickets, many students wondered if the exam will be conducted on schedule or not but eventually, all students appeared in the exam yesterday, however, it was mentally exhausting for the students.
Many principals didn't know till the last minute that their colleges were being used as exam centres. "Some of the students were in confusion till late at night on Monday and believed that the exams were getting postponed. The final list of hall tickets was released around midnight, without the photos and signatures of principals. The university then asked colleges to permit these students for exams on the basis of identity cards," said a principal, as reported by TOI.
As per the Hindustan Times report, for almost a month, colleges were unable to upload students’ academic records on the Mumbai university’s website. Colleges have been trying to upload data for the last 26 days, but due to technical glitches, were unable to proceed further.
For the three-year LLB course, law colleges conduct exams for semesters 1 to 4 and upload all data on the university portal, which is maintained by MKCL.
