An LLB student of NALSAR has been selected for Chevening Scholarship 2022-23 (India Cohort) and she will be pursuing her LLM at the University of Cambridge.

Swati Singh, an LLB student of Batch of 2013 of NALSAR, has been selected for the Chevening Scholarship 2022-23 (India Cohort) and she will be attending the University of Cambridge to pursue her LLM this year. 

"This takes the total number of Chevening Scholars from NALSAR to six this year! We wish Swati all the best for her future endeavours," tweeted NALSAR University of Law.

About Chevening Scholarship 2022-23

It is fully funded (flights, accommodation, and course fees are all included) scholarships to undertake any master's course at any UK university. It enables outstanding emerging leaders from all over the world to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK. 

The selected students live and study in the UK for one year and this allows her/him to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, and experience UK culture.

This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK but may be different depending on the course and university choice.

Eligibility Criteria for Chevening Scholarship 2022-23

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship 2022-23, the following are the conditions:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
  • They must return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after the award has ended.
  • Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable the candidate to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time they submit the application. 
  • The candidate must have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 13 July 2023.
