NLSIU inks MoU with Army Training Command Shimla

National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with Army Training Command Shimla to improve the legal skills of the army officers. Under the agreement, NLSIU will train 150 officers for 3 years on Cyber Laws and Legal Studies.

National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, and Army Training Command (ARTRAC) Shimla have inked a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance the legal skills of army officers. The agreement was signed at the Institute of Military Law, Delhi Cantonment. 

The MoU was signed by Maj Gen V. M. Chandran, MGGS (Doctrine), HQ ARTRAC and NLSIU Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sudhir Krishnaswamy in the presence of Lt Gen SS Mahal, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, ARTRAC.

As part of this MoU, NLSIU will offer training to 150 officers of the Indian Army for 3 years on Cyber Laws and Legal Studies in collaboration with the Army Management Services Board (AMSB).

NLSIU is also organising a campus visit on March 12, 2023. Interested candidates must register to be eligible to visit the NLSIU campus. The visit is for students who want to learn more about the various courses offered by NLSIU including 3-year LLB (Hons), Master's in Public Policy and PhD Programmes.

The visiting students will get a chance to interact with the faculties and current students. Also, the university will provide a live information session on 2 year Master's Programme in Public Policy (MPP) on March 3, 2023.

NLSIU faculty members Dr. Rinku Lamba & Dr. Aniket Nandan spoke on the topic ‘Why Policy Education in a University Matters’ on Sunday as part of the Policy Adda at the BIC Hub’ba 2023. Dr. Rinku and Dr. Aniket teach core courses of the Master’s Programme in Public Policy (MPP) at NLSIU.
