The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru declared the provisional list of students selected for the five-year integrated Bachelor of Legislative Law or Legum Baccalaureus (LLB) programme.
NLU consortium released the first provisional list on its website. The allotment of seats was on the basis of merit-cum-preferences of the candidates as per their counselling form.
For general merit, the cutoff CLAT 2021 all-India rank is 80 and for Karnataka domicile candidates in general merit under the 25% horizontal reservation, the cutoff is 237, it was introduced for the first time in 2021. The candidates looking for seats under the domicile quota must have studied in Karnataka for at least 10 years.
The 2021 batch consists of 120 seats, out of which 93 are for general merit, 18 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 9 for Scheduled Tribes (ST). Under the 25% horizontal reservation, there are 30 seats. 23 for general merit, five for SC and two for ST.
Most of the toppers have chosen NLSIU. The virtual orientation for the new batch of the 5-year integrated LLB programme began on Monday and will continue till the end of this week.
