Jindal Global Law School was the winner of the 8th IBA ICC Moot Court Competition National Rounds and the University of Mumbai Law Academy & Gujarat National Law University were the runners-up. The competition was held at the National Law University Delhi campus. The NLU Delhi's team proceeded to the advanced rounds of the Indian National Rounds.

The India National Rounds of the 8th IBA ICC Moot Court Competition held at NLU Delhi, concluded over the weekend. National Law University Delhi hosted over 35 teams from law colleges across India and 200 participants over the course of the 3-day event. 

"Congratulations to the NLU Delhi team for succeeding to proceed to the Advanced Rounds of the India National Rounds!. Also, many congratulations the winners Jindal Global Law School & runners up University of Mumbai Law Academy & Gujarat National Law University.," reads NLUD's statement.

"We wish to extend our gratitude to Hon’ble Justice (Retd.) U. U. Lalit (Former Chief Justice of India), Hon’ble Justice Mukta Gupta (Judge, Delhi High Court), Hon’ble Justice Navin Chawla (Judge, Delhi High Court), Mr. Sidharth Luthra (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India), Ms. Aparajita Singh (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India), and Professor (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha (Director, Indian Law Institute), for taking the time out to attend the closing ceremony of the event," added NLUD's statement.

NLUD's Summer School on Platform Governance

It is being organised by the Centre for Communication Governance, National Law University Delhi, Hans-Bredow Institut, University of Hamburg, and Institute for Technology and Society of Rio De Janeiro (ITS Rio). It started on March 20 and will conclude on March 26. 

The goal of the week-long program is to bring together a diverse set of scholars, instructors, and students for an intensive week of lectures, discussions, and interactive classroom activities. While past editions of the Summer School have focussed on Data Governance, Freedom of Expression & Online Intermediaries, Privacy, Harmful Speech, Surveillance, and Data Protection, this year, the focus of the Summer School will be on ‘Platform Governance’.

The lecture schedule includes sessions on Content Moderation, Platform Impact on Elections, The Oversight Board, Platform Transparency, The Content Safety Ecosystem, the EU’s Digital Services Act, and Platforms, Competition & Consumer Protection Issues. 

The Summer School Program also includes a keynote lecture by Shyam Divan (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India) and a guest lecture by Pamela San Martin, a former Electoral Councillor at the National Electoral Institute in Mexico and current member of Meta’s Oversight Board.
