NLU Delhi has issued the list of candidates who qualified for submission of research proposal for admission to PhD programme for the Academic Year 2023-24.

NLUD PhD admission AY 2023-24: The university released the list of candidates who qualified for submission of research proposal for admission to the PhD programme and also announced the procedure for admission and the number of seats available.

The UGC-JRF candidates are exempted from the AILET-2023 and there is a total of 5 seats for them, through AILET, there are 9 seats including 5 seats and four fellowships seats, and 2 seats are for foreign nationals.

The University will follow the reservation policy as per UGC Regulations for admission to PhD. programme for the Academic Year 2023-24. 

All qualified candidates who fulfil the requisite academic qualification shall submit the research paper as per the guidelines given on the university's website before the last date for submission, which is February 10, 2023.

"All Research proposals would be examined by the Research Advisory Committee. After that, the candidates would be called to make a presentation before the Doctoral Committee on the Research Proposal on a date notified by the University. The last date for the submission of Research Proposal is February 10, 2023," reads the NLUD official statement.

For UGC-JRF and foreign nationals, the admissions will be made based on the evaluation of research proposals followed by an interview/ viva-voce. In the final selection of candidates, a weightage of 50% shall be given to the evaluation of the research proposal and 50% shall be given to the results of the interview/viva-voce. 

For 9 seats, to be filled through AILET - the admission shall be through a two-stage selection process, which includes (1) a written entrance test and (2) the evaluation of research proposals followed by interview/ viva-voce. In the final selection of candidates, a weightage of 70% shall be given to the entrance test and 30% shall be given to the results of the evaluation of research proposals and interview/viva-voce.
