NLUD: Project 39A looks for long-term intern; Apply by Jan 31

II-V year students of an integrated 5-year LL.B. programme or II/III-year students of a 3-year LL.B. programme during the academic year 2022-2023 are eligible to apply.

Project 39A at National Law University Delhi is looking to engage a long-term intern on a part-time basis for remote work on issues related to legal aid in the criminal justice system for its Fair Trial Fellowship Programme (“Programme”). The period of internship will be for 6 months and any extension will be subject to the needs of the Programme.

The Programme is an intervention to provide legal assistance to undertrial prisoners in Yerwada and Nagpur Central Prison in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA) and the Government of Maharashtra. Anyone who is an II-V year student of an integrated 5-year LL.B. programme or II/III-year students of a 3-year LL.B. programme during the academic year 2022-2023 can apply for this opportunity. The last date to apply is January 31, 2023.

Applicants must fill out the online form available at https://www.project39a.com/internship-jan-22 and upload three documents - Curriculum Vitae, statement of Purpose of not more than 500 words explaining their interest in this internship, writing Sample of not more than 2000 words (exclusive of footnotes) on any issue related to the criminal justice system.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a virtual interview and Project 39A reserves the right to conduct further rounds of assessment. Project 39A further reserves the right to not fill the internship position, reads NLUD statement.
