Prof. (Dr.) Anand Pawar was appointed officiating Vice-Chancellor of the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (RGNUL). He assumed the charges from Tuesday (February 28, 2023) following orders of Justice Ravi Shanker Jha, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh and Chancellor, RGNUL.

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, gets new officiating Vice-Chancellor as Prof. (Dr.) Anand Pawar has assumed the charges from Tuesday (February 28, 2023) following orders of Justice Ravi Shanker Jha, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh and Chancellor, RGNUL.

RGNUL tweet reads, "Prof. (Dr.) Anand Pawar appointed officiating Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (RGNUL)."

RGNUL's statement said Prof Pawar had held a number of leadership positions at RGNUL, including Controller of Examinations, Dean Student Welfare, chief warden, coordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell, coordinator of Student Exchange and others, as reported by Tribune India.

His professional qualifications include a B.Sc., (Mathematics), LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D, Law Teaching and Legal Research Certificate Course 2006 from Cardiff Law School, Cardiff (UK), Certificate in Advance Mediation Course 2016 from Pepperdine University, Straus Institution of Dispute Resolution, School of Law, Malibu, California (USA), and Certificate in Teaching Methodology 2016 from Nova South-eastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA).

RGNUL to hire Research Associate; Apply by March 3, 2023

A Centre for Criminology, Criminal Justice and Victimology (CCV) is looking to engage one full-time researcher for a project, who has skills and experience in working on challenging issues and is also ready to carry out extensive fieldwork in this regard. There is only one post and the stipend will be INR 40,000 per month consolidated. The duration of the assignment shall be till the completion of the project. It shall be a full-time assignment.

The modalities of the work shall be decided by the Project Director. The applicants are required to submit their CV, a Statement of Purpose and Motivation (maximum 500 words) and a writing sample (published/unpublished, sole authorship to – ccv@rgnul.ac.in with the subject ‘Application for Research Associate (Status of Wrongful Prosecution in India: An Exploration of Causes and Remedies)’ latest by March 3, 2023.
