Loyola College of Social Science gets A++ NAAC grading

Loyal College of Social Science has  received the highest grading; i.e. A++ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The NAAC is a government organisation in India that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions. It is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission and headquartered in Bangalore.  Loyola College of Social Sciences has secured the NAAC grading in its fourth cycle of accreditation. The institution has scored a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.59 (out of 4).

While speaking on the same, Loyal College of Social Science, principal, Saji P Jacob and Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC) coordinator Jasmine Sarah Alexander, said the grade is the highest among colleges affiliated to the University of Kerala in the fourth accreditation cycle. The college had been accredited with A grade and a CGPA of 3.72 in the previous cycle of NAAC accreditation in 2014.

The college prinicipal attributed the recognition to high institutional values, practices, curriculum, and standards in teaching, research and extension works in the college.

Meanwhile, Lucknow University has received the highest grading; i.e. A++ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). NAAC assesses the overall systems along with teaching work in higher education institutions in India. Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor Anandiben Patel congratulated the varsity and the people of the state for getting the highest grade in the NAAC evaluation. Patel called it a matter of pride for the varsity. 

"This achievement is inspiring for other universities of the state. Therefore, universities should continue their efforts to improve the quality of their teaching and work system till they attain the highest grade," she said. Lucknow University has already got the NAAC grading twice, the statement added.
