LPU NIRF Ranking 2022: Lovely Professional University (LPU) is situated in Jalandhar (Punjab) and is an internationally acclaimed private university that is known for its premier engineering programs. It ranks among the best engineering colleges for pursuing an engineering degree. It was established in 2005. No doubt, its ranking is undeniable proof of the university's success.

The Lovely Professional University (LPU) is declared 47th among all the government and private universities in India by NIRF Rankings 2022. From last year's ranking, it had jumped 15 positions, which shows the highest improvement in ranking made by any institution in India. In 2021, LPU is the only private university in Punjab to be among the top 100 in NIRF Ranking.

NIRF Overview

NIRF stands for the National Institutional Ranking Framework. It was approved by the MHRD and was launched by the Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on September 29, 2015. A framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. 

The methodology is drawn from the recommendations of the overall broad understanding arrived at by a Core Committee that was set up by MHRD to find out the broad parameters for ranking several universities and institutions. The parameters cover "Teaching, Learning and Resources", "Research and Professional Practices," "Graduation Outcomes," "Outreach and Inclusivity," and "Perception".
