Lycée Français International de Delhi reopens for the academic year 2021-22

Considering the health and safety of the students, LFID will offer a blended learning experience to all its students.

LFID Reopening: With the declining cases of the novel coronavirus, Lycée Français International de Delhi, popularly known for prioritizing language skills, critical thinking, inculcating confidence, overall personality development and spirit of independent learning, has reopened its campus for the academic year 2021-22 for the in-person learning experience. However, considering the health and safety of the students, LFID will offer a blended learning experience to all its students. “All students have resumed in-person classes and activities as per their regular schedule. Parents have demonstrated complete trust in the school management as the LFID had also opened up for in-person classes last year and there was no incidence or infection within the school premises,” the official press note said

According to the press release, talking about the school reopening, Nicolas Sieger, Headmaster of Lycée Français International de Delhi said, “Student safety and well-being is our utmost priority in the current times. We remain committed to a pedagogical framework that not only supports academic growth but also the emotional needs of students. We will be organizing the daily school activities in such a manner to limit the contact of students from different classes. In order to create a healthy and safe educational environment, our school will follow proper precautionary measures, while adapting as the Covid-19 situation evolves.’’

Various health and safety guidelines have been introduced by LFID. The protocols and precautionary have been created in consultation with parents, teachers and students for maintaining a safe environment at the campus. LFID will continue to adhere to the protocols developed by their COVID Task Force.

The press note quoted Mr Sieger, the School Headmaster talking about the importance of offline classes, “It is important for students to learn offline as teachers can adapt and focus on certain concepts by observing the students’ body language and interest. They constantly watch for different reactions and instinctively know how and when to repeat a concept or when to explain things differently and use anecdotes when necessary. Only in-person classes allow for this kind of interaction which is the best and most effective way forward.” He further added, “It is a pleasure to see children rushing to school in the morning as they are equally happy to meet their friends and teachers.”
