Madhya Pradesh government announced to award scooters to three top-ranking students from both urban and rural areas.

Madhya Pradesh government has announced that Class XII students in state-run schools will get laptops if they achieve a score of 60% or higher in the Board exams. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made this announcement on Sunday while addressing an event for the 'Ladli Behna Yojana' in Gwalior.

The top three ranking students of urban and rural schools will be awarded scooters.

"Three top-ranking students from both urban and rural areas will receive scooters," said the Chief Minister, as reported by NDTV.

Earlier this year, the state government had transferred INR 196.6 crore into the bank accounts of 78,641 students who scored 75 per cent or above in the state board exams for class XII and were eligible to purchase laptops.

Earlier, under the ‘Ladli Behna’ scheme, the women of Madhya Pradesh had received INR 1,000 and later on, the Chief Minister increased the amount to INR 1,250 as a Rakhi Gift. Chouhan has also said that this amount will be further increased to INR 1,500 post elections.

MP Board Exam 2024: The Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh (MPBoSE) has released the MP Board Exam Date Sheet 24. The exam for Class 10 will be held from February 5 to February 28, 2023. The Class 12 exams will be held from February 6 to March 5.

The state government held a cabinet meeting in June and decided to gift e-scooters to 9,000 meritorious students of Class 12 from government schools.
